Baste Regulated Stitching
Allows you to select and set the machine to be moved a specific number of inches before delivering a stitch. Also known as "Inches per Stitch".
Sew What? The machine now delivers each basting stitch at exactly the frequency that you want them. You no longer have to repetitively press the single stitch button to baste.
Constant Speed Mode
Means that the machine sews at a selected constant motor speed.
Sew What? Sew what? At a slow speed (around 5 - 8%) you can use it for basting and squaring up the edges of your quilt top. At slightly higher speeds you can efficiently do background fillers such as stippling. We have found that some of our most experienced production focused customers use the highest speeds to do "free hand overall" patterns and the fabric pattern outlining that is commonly done in decorator work rooms on comforters and bed spreads.
Larger Quilting Area
The actual quilting area is the available work space under the machine arm to be quilted before having to advance the fabric.

Premier (18-8) - 14"
Classic (26-10) - 21.5"
Optimum (30-12) - 24.5"
Supreme (36-14) - 29.5"
Sew What? The Gammill machines offer the largest quilting area in the industry. With a larger quilting area you will be able to see and quilt more of the quilt each time the quilt is advanced on the roller system. Simply stated, a larger quilting area allows you to be more efficient.
Throat Space
Is the space from the back of the hopping (presser) foot to the deepest part of the U-shaped bend that connects the upper and lower arms of the machine. As the quilt is finished and rolled up on the pick-up roller the quilt roll gets larger and larger. Ample throat space is needed to provide space for this quilt rolled up while still allowing the machine to be moved far enough to do a large design. Throat space dimensions for the Gammill Statler Stitcher /Plus machines:

Premier = 18 x 8

Statler = 22 x 10

Classic = 26 x 10

Optimum = 30 x 12

Supreme = 36 x 14
Sew What? As machine throat space gets larger so does quilting area and the size of the designs you can sew all the way through to the bottom of the quilt.
Double Capacity (M) Bobbin
Holds at least twice the length of thread as a domestic sewing machine (L) bobbin.
Sew What? Although "M" style bobbins will run out of bobbin thread, you will do so half as frequently as you would with an "L" style bobbin.
Meets or Exceeds UL and CSA Standards
Applicable Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards for safety and quality
Sew What? Gammill quilting machine company is concerned about your safety and the quality of products delivered to you.
4-Year Parts/4-Years labor Limited Warranty
On new sewing heads applies even if the machine is used for commercial purposes.

1-Year Parts/1-Years Labor Limited Warranty on Statler Stitcher Electrical parts and Components.

3-year warranty on Dell computer.

Optional equipment, tables and cross tracks carry a 1-year limited parts and labor warranty.

Other parts would not be under warranty if there is damage due to accident, misuse, negligence, or if serviced by an unauthorized person.

Unauthorized after-market installations void the warranty as well.
Sew What? You have the comfort of knowing that if an electrical or mechanical component fails, it will be replaced at no charge when you bring your machine to an authorized dealer or Gammill for service. This warranty does not cover normal wear parts.
Stitch Regulated
Means that your stitches will be the same length no matter how fast or slow you move the sewing head.
Sew What? With the push of a single button you can regulate the stitches to your tastes from 8 to 12 stitches per inch. This is great for helping beginning quilters to get attractive and highly desirable even length stitches. With the regulated stitch, the machine takes responsibility for keeping your stitches a consistent length while you concentrate on your quilting designs.
LED Light Fixture
The new LED light fixture illuminates the needle area with a brighter light than a florescent bulb, and has a toggle switch to change to a black light.
Sew What? The brighter LED light allows you to clearly see your sewing area and with the flip of a switch also have a black light that may be used to illuminate stencil powders or special markings on your quilt top.
Externally mounted motor
Motor is securely mounted on the top rear portion of the machine casting.
Sew What? With the motor mounted externally it cools better so it will have a longer service life.
Heavy Duty Automotive Steel Shaft Bearings and Steel Oil-lite Bushings.
Under the light torque loads of a quilting machine automotive bearings will last for a lifetime of daily use. In addition, steel bushings are known to last 5 times longer than brass bushings.
Sew What? You can quilt as much as you want assured that your machine is built to last.
Dual Control Long Arm Sewing Head
Dual control handles provide for the machine to be operated from either the front or back of the sewing head. Just move the Vision screen to the side of the machine you would like to sew from.
Sew What? You will make frequent use of the front handles for free motion and custom quilting while the back handles will be used for pantograph quilting.
Molded Multi-Function Gam Foot
Sew What? Is designed to make it easy for you to use thick plexiglass rulers and templates. The height of the foot can also be adjusted for proper stitch formation or to effortlessly handle extra thick seems.
Hopping Foot
Raises and lowers with the movement of the needle to press and release the fabric as the stitch is formed.
Sew What? The hopping action reduces the drag of the foot so your machine moves easily across the fabric.
On-Board Bobbin Winder
The on-board bobbin winder refills bobbins while the machine is sewing. It is also used to pre-fill bobbins before sewing. No need to purchase an extra stand-alone bobbin winder.
Sew What? With two cones of thread, you can use one to sew with and the other to wind bobbins while you sew. That way, you always have a bobbin ready when yours runs out.
Stylaser Laser Light with Top and Bottom Laser Mounts
The Stylaser is used to follow a pantograph pattern from the back of the machine, or to follow a block pattern from the front of the machine.
Sew What? If you have not yet mastered the art of free motion quilting, you can still get nice results by following attractive pre-printed patterns using the stylaser.
T-Bracket for holding the Stylaser
Conveniently located on the side of the machine is a T-Bracket and pin to hold the Stylaser when doing pantographs. The pin is also used with the Gammill Work Station.
Sew What? You will find that the Work Station and Pantographs are easy to use and that they are a quick way to begin making productive use of your machine.
Specially Designed Vertical Wheels
Originally manufactured for military aircraft brake and control systems, these high quality (ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100 Rev. B) bearing mounted wheels are mounted vertically to ensure a smooth non-binding movement of the sewing head.
Sew What? You will find that the smooth non-binding movement of the sewing head enables you to move the machine with minimal resistance thus making it seem effortless to sew precise smooth flowing designs including small well-rounded circles.
Dual Thread Capability
Allows for the use of two spools of thread at once.
Sew What? You can use two different threads to mix colors and obtain that extra special look that you want for your quilt top.
Centralized Lubrication System
Is a series of oil lines that run inside the casting distributing the oil necessary to protect moving parts from wear.
Sew What? This keeps the oil inside the machine and away from your quilt.
10" or 12" Home-Pro Stand Length
A 10" stand has a quilting area of 104" and is large enough to do any queen sized quilt. While a 12" stand has a quilting area of 128" and is large enough to quilt a king size quilt. Custom stand lengths (shorter) are also available (for an extra $195).
Sew What? You decide what length of stand will fit your room, or will accommodate the size of quilts you think you will be quilting.
Machine and Stand Foot Print
Is the amount of space occupied by the machine when it is set up for operation. The Premier Statler System with a 12' long Home-Pro Frame and Overhead Light Bar occupies a space about 4.5'-wide by 12'-long, by 6' to 7' high.
Sew What? To ensure that you have sufficient space to move around and operate the Premier Statler System, we would recommend that the room it will occupy is at least 7.5'-wide by 14'-long by 6' to 7' high.
All Steel Frame with Powder Coated Finish
For lasting protection the steel frame has a durable hammer tone powder coated finish which resists scratches.
Sew What? The quilting frame provides for solid support and smooth handling of the sewing head and framework to hold the quilt layers for even the largest quilts, without the roller bars bowing, as they are being quilted.
Sturdy Fabric Handling Rollers
On Home-Pro stands the rollers are 1 5/8 - diameter schedule-2 steel pipe with a durable hammer tone powder coated finish which resists scratches. The rollers are more resistant to bending and bowing than smaller rollers made with lighter steel.
Sew What? The roller bars provide solid support to hold the quilt layers for even the largest quilts without the roller bars bowing as they are being quilted. This makes it much easier to keep your quilt square.
Hemmed Heavy-Duty Canvas Leaders
Are made with 10-ounce canvas for many years of use.
Sew What? The 10-ounce canvas with hemmed edges is durable, will not fray and will withstand the pinning and quilting of thousands of quilts.
Rollers Advance Easily
With the use of hand wheels and easy to turn pillow block bearings.
Sew What? With just a light hand pressure you are able to advance your quilt, or roll it backwards.
Smudge-Free Wheel Track System
The stainless steel track that the wheels travel over is recessed in an aluminum channel.
Sew What? This keeps your quilt away from dust, lint and oil that may accumulate on the tracks.
Sit or Stand Roller Adjustment
Provides ample leg/knee room to sit at the front of the machine and quilt.
Sew What? This is ideal for when you are doing detailed work like background fill techniques, or individual block work. Whether your feet and legs are fatigued at the end of a day or from a lifetime of work it is nice to know you can quilt in a comfortable seated position.
Two-Step Elevation System for Adjusting the Fabric Pick-Up Roller
Sew What? This makes it easy to raise each end of the pickup roller to an equal height as you advance the quilt and the pickup roller becomes larger in diameter.

Is a plastic protector or cover for the pantograph pattern that is being used on the table top. It also keeps the pattern from shifting.
Sew What? It keeps your valuable pattern in place, clean and protected from coincidental wear or mishaps during use.

Optional Leaders with Zippered Edges
Allow the leading edge on the three roller bars with canvas leaders to be zipped on/off. $295
Sew What? Leaders with extra sets of edges allow you to check your tension, quickly change between projects, sit and pin your quilt to the leaders and make it easier to share the machine with another person.
Optional Extra Zippered Edges
$75
Sew What? If you desire to share the use of your machine with a group of friends or you characteristically have a lot of UFOs (unfinished objects) on hand, extra zippered edges are really nice to have. You can keep the incomplete quilts on a set of leader edges and load a new quilt on another set. Further, some of our most productive customers will use time away from their quilting machine(s) to pin quilts onto extra sets of zippered edges so when they are back with their machine the quilt loading time from one quilt project to the next is shorter thus increasing their productive sewing time.
Optional Alignment Mat - $195/Drafting Chair - $195
Sew What? These two components make it easier for you to sit and quilt at the front of the quilting frame and then efficiently move left or right while staying a comfortable distance from your frame and machine.
