Rebecca Tucker
Rebecca Tucker quilted this challenge using Signature thread and one layer of Hobbs 80/20 batting. She is a big fan of Tim McGraw and especially his song “Humble and Kind” and she quilted her love for the song and the music into this quilt.
Carol Thurston
Carol Thurston quilted this challenge with white Glide 40 weight and 60 weight and black Glide 40 weight, with 2 layers of batting – one layer of cotton, one layer of wool. It was inspired using Lisa Calle’s Divide and Design method.

Eileen Sweeney
Eileen's quilt was inspired by Judi Madsen who wrote the book Quilting Wide Open Spaces. The idea for this quilt came to Eileen when she saw the design in an ad and thought it would fit the design of the quilt challenge. This was also the first quilt that Eileen has marked in.
Anne Sloan
"Longshore Drive"
Anne created this quilt using all free motion. It has two layers of batting, and she used Omni thread. To create the schnauzers, she traced photos of them onto Golden Threads paper and sewed on top of it. Since Anne has two dogs and a cat who love to chase bunnies, mice, and other critters, she describes this quilt as if she is looking through her picture window. The trees, flowers, and animals tell a story of three pets harassing the fury neighbors who visit their yard!

Marcia Hawks
"On A Wing And A Prayer"
Marcia came up with the title "On A Wing and A Prayer" because she made this quilt on the fly while she was trying to sell her house at the same time. She started out with metallic thread but decided to stop. Marcia kept her quilt a basic design while giving it a bold pop with thread play.

Kim Werth
This pattern took Kim an afternoon to piece together when she realized that she just wasn't a piecer. Not really knowing what to do next, she decided to put a tree into the pattern since trees are one of the things she loves. And so she placed a bird in the tree as well which gives a nice touch to the quilt. The beautiful stitching in this quilt makes the tree look as though it's growing into the surrounding border, which really brings this quilt to life.
If you look closely, you can see "C+K" stitched into the tree trunk. The story behind this is that Kim's husband never carved their initials into a tree, so Kim decided she was going to do it herself!

Julie Lillo
Julie's quilt was inspired by a whole cloth design posted on Instagram by Carla Barrett. Before this quilt, Julie had never marked a wholecloth design. She found it challenging to work the wholecloth design into the challenge pattern. Julie worked with two layers of bleached Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 for a faux trapunto look and used Glide and Hologram thread.
Jane VanderMeer
Jane created her quilt on a Statler. Using WhisperTouch thread for the background and King Tut and Glide thread together for the main designs, she created this engaging quilt. The background fill was created by Anita Shackelford, and the embroidered flower designs were by Kreations by Kara. However, Jane created the feathers and the border herself.
